We at Village Dairy have now installed solar panels at our Traralgon site, in an effort to make the environment clean and safe.
Why Solar Energy?
Solar energy is a major renewable energy source with the potential to meet many of the challenges facing the world. We understand its importance and make an effort to reap the advantages and give our consumers sustainable products. Looking at the pressing scenario in and around, it’s time to normalise the use of renewable energies and increase every power source’s popularity which gives versatility of benefits to people and the environment. We believe in reducing our carbon footprints.
Fossil fuels such as coal and natural gas are limited resources, therefore letting go of the traditional electricity which relied heavily on them was essential. The sun provides us with more energy than we could ever use, and no one can monopolise the sunlight. Our solar power system aims at supporting the environment and protecting the pristine forests that are destroyed for mining raw materials like fossil or nuclear fuels, a behaviour which further increases climate change. Eight out of ten animals on land" live in forests, according to WWF, and a loss of habitats diminishes their populations. Village dairy switched to solar to keep these habitats intact for the animals who live there as well as continue to keep the air clean.
Even according to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the 2017 greenhouse gas emissions were 13% below the 2005 levels. In fact, emissions decreased by .5% from 2016 to 2017. Emissions are blamed for the rise in global temperatures, and changes in weather patterns leading to a cascade of effects. Our Solar panels can restrict climate change as it produces no carbon emissions.
We are grateful to our customers who constantly support us and our ethical practices. We hope our eco-friendly efforts through our green business makes you a proud Village Dairy consumer.
I discovered Village yoghurt about a month ago and am absolutely loving it.,...and loving it more after seeing the factory roof covered in solar panels. Paul
