Sweet and creamy Scones

You will need:



  • 2 cups of plain flour

  • 2 teaspoons sugar

  • 3 teaspoons baking powder

  • 1 cup of Village Sweet & Creamy Greek Yoghurt

  • ½ cup milk

  • Pinch of salt

Method:

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees celsius. Line and prep a rimmed baking tray with baking paper. In a large bowl whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Add in the yoghurt and half of the milk. Stir with a wooden spoon until dough comes together.

  2. Transfer to a lightly floured bench. Add enough of remaining milk until a dough forms. Knead a few times, until dough is smooth.

  3. Lightly flour a work surface and using a floured rolling pin roll the dough out to 25 mm thick. Cut with a floured 10cm wide scone cutter or drinking glass and place on the baking tray. Bake 15 minutes or until golden brown.

  4. Serve warm with a dollop of yoghurt and jam.
